Ronald Knox (Kuroshitsuji) | Some More Heroes

☣CHARACTER;
Name: Ronald Knox
Alias:
Series: Kuroshitsuji (manga)
Canon Point: Chapter 64
Age: Appears early 20s.
Rank: 31
Weapon: A lawnmower. Heck yes.
Personality: At first glance, Ronald Knox is a charming, friendly young man. He's something of a flirt, striking up conversations with strangers, casually promising dates to ladies he's never met, always ready with a smile and a quick remark.
However, "charming" does not mean "nice".
Ronald Knox is not a nice person.
Reapers are not human (even if they were at one point, canon hasn't exactly made clear where reapers come from). Ron in particular seems to view humans as from a position of superiority, watching and interacting with them, but for his own amusement rather than because of any connection to humanity. He spends three days with the third-class passengers on the Campania (a ship that was basically "the Titanic hit an iceberg because of a zombie outbreak on board), and on the night of the zombie outbreak, Ron leaves his drinking buddies belowdecks, responding to a request to meet again tomorrow with a casual "If we meet alive, that is". Ron knew beforehand that the people were going to die, and his only reaction to their deaths is to complain about the extra work.
Ron does his job quickly and efficiently, but he's not so in love with his work that he's okay with having to work overtime. The Campania mission is an overtime mission that Ron is forced to work with Grell, and he complains about it more than once. It's not that he dislikes his job (he is, after all, a reaper, and reapers exist for their job), but he doesn't like being accused of making mistakes, or taking blame for things that he did not do. He likes it when things go according to plan, and while he seems pretty good at making things up on the fly, he doesn't like other people intentionally messing things up.
He's also young for a reaper, a fact he brings up when he wants to comment on how the other reapers are old and stuck in his ways. In contrast to that, Ron prides himself on his flexibility and willingness to change (for example, using a butterfly knife in a fight in addition to his death scythe). He's somewhat flashy and dramatic (though not as dramatic as Grell), and he seems to enjoy irony and wordplay. Ron's also fairly interested in his appearance, dressing neatly and wearing a flashy watch.
